They have been building in front of my apartment recently. I am assuming it to be a small store of sorts. But more interesting than what it will be is how they are making it.
They are using concrete poured in to forms to build it up to what ever height it will be. From what I have seen, they set up the forms, pump it full with a concrete pumper, wait until it dries; finished. Now I do not know a lot about this practice or concrete work in general but it sure makes me think. I wonder how tall they would build a building using this method, how well it with stands earthquakes and most of all where they get all the forms from.
